Terms of Use
Last updated August 7, 2026
1. Who provides the App
Timespective (the “App”) is provided by Akshay K. Burusa, an independent developer based in the Netherlands (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at [email protected].
2. Acceptance
By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
3. The App
Timespective is a personal life-balance tracker that runs on your device. It is offered as a subscription with a one-month free trial for new subscribers, or as a one-time lifetime purchase.
4. Plans, trial, and billing
New subscribers start with a free month; you are not charged until it ends. After the trial, access requires either an active monthly or yearly subscription, or the one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the App and on your app store in your local currency before you confirm. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Purchases are processed by the app store, not by us.
What lifetime access includes. The lifetime option is a one-time purchase, not a subscription: it does not renew, it carries no free trial, and there is nothing to cancel. It grants access to the App and to all future updates to the App, for as long as we offer it. It does not cover optional services that carry an ongoing cost for us to run for each person — for example cloud sync, if we ever ship it — which may be offered separately. Because there is no account, lifetime access is tied to the App Store or Google Play account you bought it with; use Restore purchases to recover it on a new device.
If your trial or subscription ends without renewal, the App enters a read-only state: your data remains on your device and you can still view and export it, but logging new days requires an active subscription or the lifetime purchase. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription — cancel it in your store account.
5. Your data
Your data is stored on your device and is yours. You can export it to JSON and CSV at any time, subscribed or not. Handling of that data is described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for keeping your own device backups; because there is no server-side copy, we cannot recover data you delete or lose.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except where the law expressly permits it;
- resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the App;
- use the App to break any applicable law.
7. Intellectual property
The App, its name, logo, and design are owned by Akshay K. Burusa. These Terms grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App — no ownership is transferred.
8. Disclaimer of warranty
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Timespective is a reflective tool, not medical, psychological, or professional advice.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the App.
10. Changes
These Terms may be updated as the App evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above and, where significant, noted in the App.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. If you use the App as a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection afforded by the mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live. Disputes will be submitted to the competent courts of the Netherlands, unless mandatory law entitles you to bring proceedings before the courts of your own country of residence.
